A Kid’s reaction to their parent’s actions
Children’s sports are supposed to be fun for the children. Unfortunately many parents, fans and coaches don’t realize that their actions, whether verbal or non verbal, can have a lasting emotional effect on children. Too many children are leaving sports activities because the fun is unfairly taken away by adults.
Keep these thoughts in mind when you are at a match or practice.
When a parent acts out what will their kids think?
Will they copy their parents?
Will their feelings be hurt?
Will they be embarrassed by their parent’s actions?
What will the rest of their teammates and their parents feel about it?
Please be supportive of your wrestler.
